Every year in late June, some of the finest tech companies in Chicago set up shop at Techweek Chicago to showcase their involvement in the world of tech. Some companies partner with Techweek, others host booths at the hiring fair, and some participate in Techweek LAUNCH, a startup competition.
Conference-goers were encouraged to attend one of the numerous speeches, participate in a number of booth activities, and most importantly, have fun at the event.
Codal + Techweek
For the past three years, Codal has partnered with Techweek in an effort to showcase our commitment to Chicago tech. This year, we went beyond the tradition of hosting a booth, and developed a Codal Techweek app for use in our #seekinthebeacons challenge.
We hid Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) beacons at various booths throughout Techweek and challenged conference-goers to discover their locations with the aide of our app. Participants in the beacon-based scavenger hunt who found every beacon were entered into a raffle to win an Apple Watch.
Codal will be announcing the winners of this year’s Seekin’ the Beacons challenge on June 30th, 2015.
We are committed to helping startups thrive in the local tech ecosystem because we believe they are the future of Chicago tech. We spoke to a number of exceptional startups at Techweek, and composed a list of the most notable. Check these guys out:
