TeamLink (formerly All Team Travel) is an all-encompassing travel platform for university athletics. It makes scheduling a hotel, travel, and dining requirements easy to use for all of those in the program from students to alumni. It covers an extensive array of schools, while still finding the best deals for the program wherever the schedule takes the team.
Planning, Strategy, and Business Intelligence
Research for TeamLink included taking note of administrative processes in athletic departments across the US. Their management system held countless data on vendors, prices, and relationships forged over many seasons that could be used for deployment of the initial release.
User Experience and Interface Design
In addition to communication, a framework for participating concierge services was developed. Hotels, bus companies, and businesses in the area would need to have their available services integrated into the product. Necessary means of controls over vendor options and university oversight needed to be addressed.
Twilio was integrated to allow all users, venue operators, team administrators, and facilities to receive actionable SMS notifications. We integrated OpenTable’s API for dining, custom invoicing for all activity, and an AJAX form builder for data compilation.
