The Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) hosted its annual conference in Chicago this year, drawing healthcare industry leaders from across the globe—eager to learn about technological innovations that can help them streamline operations, provide better care, and grow their business.
As we do every year, the Codal team set up a booth at the show to shake hands, chat, and build relationships with a wide range of health tech thought leaders. We also gave out free mints, Codal-branded koozies, and ribbons with funny phrases on them like “talk nerdy to me” and “I know what you did last conference.” Those were a huge hit.
This was a great opportunity to learn more about the current challenges and opportunities healthcare providers are faced with, and how Codal can provide more value in the space.
“During HIMSS, I interacted deeply with professionals involved in day-to-day healthcare operations, covering patient management, appointments, ERP, health records, etc. One recurring point of conversation was the need for IOT devices to collect patient activity data, as well as AI to predict daily routines and make operational improvements. And we discussed how Codal can work as a tech partner to deliver on those requirements.” - Priyank Patel, Sr. Technical Project Manager at Codal
We shared our experiences modernizing legacy health tech solutions, as well as building HIPAA-compliant eCommerce websites, data analytics dashboards, and workflow management tools for our clients.
If you couldn’t make it to HIMSS this year and want to learn more about Codal’s health tech experience and capabilities, we’d love to connect with you soon. In the meantime, check out some of our recent case studies:
- Baxter: Building a microservices backend to store and analyze massive amounts of medical device data.
- RegimenPro: Building a HIPAA-compliant portal for dermatologists and their patients.
- ACCME: Developing a central hub where medical certification boards can manage their accreditations.
By attending events like HIMSS and collaborating with organizations like the ones above, we’re constantly discovering new ways to digitally transform healthcare, then turning those insights into cutting-edge, scalable solutions.
