Sean is a technical researcher & writer at Codal, authoring blog posts on topics ranging from UX design to the Internet of Things. Working alongside developers, designers, and marketers, Sean helps support the writing team to ensure Codal produces engaging web content of the highest quality. When not writing about the latest innovations in app design, Sean can be found cooking, watching old movies, or complaining about the shortcomings of his favorite Philadelphia sports teams.
The grind never stops at a UX design company like Codal. Whether it’s exciting new projects to tackle or ongoing maintenance with longtime partners, the work of a software development agency is never truly finished.
And while our engineers and technologists wouldn’t have it any other way, keeping our foot on the gas for so long means we don’t always get time to look in the rearview mirror and see how far we’ve come.
So we thought we’d stop for just a moment to breathe, take stock, and take a quick break from the thinkpieces and features we publish on our company blog to give our readers and clients an update on the latest goings-on at Codal.
Honored As One Of Chicago’s Top Digital Agencies (Again!)
For the second consecutive year, B2B ratings and reviews site Clutch has named Codal one of the top-ranked Chicago firms in seven different categories, including mobile app development agency, iPhone app development company, Android app design company, web development company, PHP & RoR developer, and WordPress development company.
Clutch determines these rankings based on criteria including direct client feedback, service lines, and ability to deliver.
"It’s a great honor and privilege to be recognized by Clutch in seven different categories this year!” said Codal CEO and co-founder Keval Baxi. “From our efforts in software development and user experience design to our digital transformation services, Codal is committed to excellence and passionate about helping businesses thrive in a world that is constantly changing from technology."
Record Growth In 2017
Codal is proud to announce a 200% increase in personnel between our headquarters in Chicago and our Indian office in Ahmedabad, a metric that reflects the growth we’ve seen in sales, clientele, and the scope of our projects. We’re proud to welcome new talent into the Codal family, and we look forward to their contributions to the continued growth of the company.
New Faces, New Spaces
A new roster of talented designers, engineers, developers, and marketers doesn’t just call for celebration—it calls for some new spaces to celebrate in (and work, of course). Codal is thrilled to announce the expansion and renovation of some of our offices around the globe.
In our Chicago headquarters, we’ve officially outgrown the office space in our building and have expanded to the floor below. With our new work space comes more resources for both our employees and clients, including tech-enabled conference rooms, communal meeting spaces, and yes, a lounge area to relax, chat, and maybe have a drink after a long day’s work.
Codal’s UK office just relocated to Lincoln, England
Across the pond, our UK office has been setting up shop as well! With the addition of an experienced team of user interface designers and brand coordinators, our Great Britain location has moved to a creative industry building in the heart of Lincoln, England. There, we hope to replicate the team growth we’ve had in Chicago and India and maintain our presence in the global design community.
Codal On The Road
While we’re thrilled to report success at our home bases, Codal also had the opportunity to hit the road this past year, attending and participating in a slew of tech conferences, industry meetups, and trade workshops.
The latest of these was the 2018 HIMSS conference, a summit of companies spearheading healthcare technology and digital solutions. Codal traveled to Las Vegas for the four-day conference to showcase some of our most successful projects in the healthcare sector, including Healthy Amplified, Nemo Van, and Same Condition.
Codal’s experienced unprecedented growth in the past year, and we’re excited to continue full steam ahead into the next quarter. In that growth, we want to keep cultivating a positive business relationship with our existing partners and forge new partnerships with companies of all sizes and sectors.
Above all, we want to ensure that as we expand, we don’t lose sight of the guiding principles our company was founded on, or the credos that inspired our founders, Keval Baxi & Matt Gierut, to create Codal in the first place.
