Techweek LA: Move Over, Silicon Valley

November 3rd, 2015

Techweek LA is fast approaching, and for the first time, Codal will be making it’s way out of frigid Chicago to attend the conference. For the past few years, Codal has partnered with Techweek Chicago, both as a sponsor and an exhibitor at the tradeshow.

Our newfound partnership with the LA branch of the famous technology trade-show is exciting, not only for the chance to learn, but to expand our network and offerings to the LA tech scene.

Although LA’s tech scene may not be as robust as that of San Francisco or Silicon Valley, it is surely on it’s way there. According to TechCrunch, LA has become the fastest-growing tech startup region, by the amount of companies being started.

From 2010 – 2014, financing for LA tech companies has grown at a 30% compounded annual growth rate. This is greater than 4 times the US average! Codal is looking forward to what this growing space has to offer.

Next week, from Nov 9th-15th, Techweek LA is expecting 5,000 – 6,000 attendees on Santa Monica Pier, and there are expected to be roughly 2000 attendees at any given time during the conference.

Included in the weeks events are: tours of the offices of companies like Google and Twitter, a private film screening, beginner coding classes, a startup LAUNCH competition, panels across a wide range of topics, and of course the expo itself.

There will be a wide range of speakers at the conference, from a variety of different tech companies. Some of the speakers that we are really looking forward to, include: Jason Feinberg from Pandora (@jasonfeinberg), Cara Santana from The Glam App (@CaraASantana), Nick Desai from Heal (@djnofunk), and Chad DePue from Whisper (@chaddepue).

Get your Techweek tickets here.

Come visit our booth next Thursday and Friday! We will be hosting a large 10 x 20 booth – you won’t miss us! Just look for Codal, and follow us on twitter for real-time Techweek updates!
